Scores January 2011

 

Sunday 09/01/2011 at the SSAA Mudgee and district, Windamere Shooting Complex saw the first match

of the new Centrefire Competition, this month shot over 100 meters distance.

There was a good turn out and a lot of interest by all members.

Grahame Podmore took out the Highest Score of the match with a "possible" of 100/100

closely followed by Jan Wensrich in second place with 94/100

and Neil Mackrill in third place with 88/100.

The  tightest group shot at 100 meters with any Centrefire rifle went to Don Mackay with a 3/8" group,

 2nd was Jan Wensrich with a 11/16" group

and 3rd Grahame Podmore with a 1 inch group.

 

The February 13th Centrefire Competition shoot will be at 200 meters distance.

 

 

The monthly Rimfire shoot was held after lunch on Sunday 09/01/2011, with gusty conditions adding to the challenge for the 22 shooters on the firing line.

 

The various class results are as follows;

 

Target class - 1st Andrew Prowse with a score of 247/250

                     2nd Dave Toovey on 244

             and  3rd Robert Prowse with 238

Senior class - 1st Robert Prowse senior, a score of 242/250  with open sights. Well done!

                     2nd Garry Stunden with 241

               and 3rd Grahame Podmore on 238

Hunter class - 1st Tom Wensrich,scoring 234/250 closely followed by

                      2nd Kevin Dickson with 232

                and 3rd Ian Rothe on 206

Women's class was taken out by Jan Wensrich with a score of 244/250. Jan kept the boys on their toes all day, with her consistently high scores in both the Centrefire and Rimfire rifle shoots.
