The SSAA Mudgee & District Branch Inc.

Wish to advise all our current members that our AGM is

to be held on Thursday 8rth of March 2012 at 1900hrs

with a short regular monthly committee meeting  to follow.

            

        (Copies of the 2011 AGM minutes will be available at the venue or on request)

    

 Please come see and hear what we have achieved over the past 12 months and

have input  on the future direction of your club in the coming year.

 Nominations for vacant positions will  be taken from the floor, however

if the nominated person is not present, the candidate must provide written evidence of their willingness to accept the particular office or offices.

FRIDAY – Range 2

Event 1 - 3P Deliberate 25m Match 2 – Class 1 & 2 Pistols (18 rounds) Open.

Event 2 - 3P CORE EVENT Match 1 – Class 1 & 2 Pistols (36 rounds) C1-Graded, C2-Open.

Event 3 – Kneeling Deliberate 15m Match 5 – Class 1 & 2 Pistols (12 rounds) Open.

Event 4 - MARTINI Cadet / .22 Trainer Match 18 - 3 Position Core (30 rounds) Open.

SATURDAY – Range 2 & Silhouette Range

RIFLE: - 0 8 3 0 S ign on a nd Br i ef i n g for t h e da y .

Event 5 - 300m Deliberate Match 9 Std rifle A/B/C (10 rounds). Open.

Event 6 - 3P CORE EVENT Match 1 Std rifle A/B/C (30 rounds) Walk-up, scored on completion. Graded.

Event 7 – Rapidfire B Match 4 Std rifle A/B/C (20rounds). Open.

Event 8 - “Noel Cross Memorial Shield” – Metallic Silhouette (Std rifle A/B/C) Open.

(No Full Metal Jackets for this match – 30 rounds only, on the line for the match).

20 Silhouettes. Shot left to right, one shot per target only, 5 points per knock-down, start on chickens – pigs –

turkeys – rams. If not all knocked down, 4 points per knock-down for next 5 rounds & then 3 points per

knock-down for final 5 rounds. Total time is 20 minutes.

SUNDAY – Range 2

RIFLE: MODIFIED/ACCURISED (STD. RIFLES WELCOME) - 0830 Sign on and Briefing.

Note: These events are Open – No grading. Modified/Accurised & Standard Rifles combined.

Event 9 - 3P Core Event Match 1 Mod/Acc.A/B/C/H (30 rounds) Walk-up,scored on completion. Open.

Event 10 – Rapid Fire B Match 4 - A/B/C/H (20 rounds) Open.

Event 11 - SR Tactical Match - bring 30 rounds & a scoped rifle - Open competition.

Cost: All Rifle & Pistol $60, All Std/Mod Rifle $50, All Std Rifle Saturday $40, All Pistol $35, Cadet/.22 Trainer $10. Juniors

about half price. Dinner on Saturday night $15, please confirm by 6th March for catering.

Free Sausage BBQ Lunch Fri, Sat. & Sun for competitors only. Others & second helpings $2, drinks $2.

Limited canteen facilities.

ACCOMMODATION: Camping at range, Thursday to Sunday, Hot & cold showers – Ablutions Block now “open for

business” Other Accommodation is available at nearby – Windamere Tourist Park ph:6358 8462.

People to organise own accommodation.

Range location: Windamere Regional Shooting Complex,

38 km. South of Mudgee on Castlereagh Highway, 300m South of Windamere Dam/Tourist Park turn off.

NOTES:

Range 2 may be open on Friday afternoon for rifle practice after P is t o l & Trainer com p e t i t i o n is f i n i s h e d . This is the only

sighting in of rifles for the remainder of the shoot.

ALL MATCHS (except Event 8, Silhouette) as per NATIONAL CSD RULE BOOK No.2 revised 2009, E&OE.

Pistol Classes: Class 1 & 2, Class 1 must be shot before Class 2 to qualify for trophies.

Rifle Classes: Standard as issued rifle Class A/B/C & Modified Class H (Sunday)

- Carry State Licence at all times, No L i c e n ce , No Shoo t .

- Valid Grading card – both Rifle & Pistol (if pistol shooter) or shoot GM grade.

- S a me R i f le to b e u s e d for all Saturday E v e n t s 5 – 8 , only exception will be rule book section 2.12.5.

- NO Opt i c a l aids of any k i nd are permitted during competition events, e.g. spotting scopes, binoculars, etc.- Except for

scoring at the Silhouette event.

Mudgee Shooting Com Au Weekend 2012

Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th April 2012

SSAA MUDGEE & DISTRICT BRANCH PISTOL CLUB Inc.

Saturday Range 1

- sign on & briefing 10.30am (to allow for travelling from Sydney, etc.)

Rimfire Metalic Silhouette & Rimfire Benchrest type shooting. Note sign on can be later if required due to

travelling.

Saturday Range 2

- sign on, etc.

Centrefire Benchrest shooting - 100m until 12.00, 200m from 1pm & 300m from 2.30pm, may be changed on

the day.

Sunday Range 1

- sign in & briefing 10am.

Range 1: Single action Shooting 10am - 2pm. Hard lead projectiles only for both pistol & rifle (not jacketed). Pistol

velocities are 650 - 1000 fps & for rifle 650 - 1400 fps. These velocities are a safety matter, the projectile should

"break up", not ricochet. DA & semi-autos are ok on the day.

(this is the time we will have the State Discipline Chairman for, to run the shoot. If the weekend happens, this

shoot is fixed & cannot be moved from Sunday)

Sunday Range 2

- sign in & briefing 10am.

Combined Services style events. Pistol from 10am, Core match is 36 rounds per class of pistol, Military, Service &

rimfire. Rifle after lunch. Core match conducted for any firearm which can complete the course of fire, not limited

to "as issued" military/service firearms. The rifle match "can be done" - single loading. Core match consists of 5

rounds at 300m prone in 1 minute, 5 rounds prone and 5 rounds sitting/kneeling at 200m in 2 minutes and 5

rounds prone, 5 rounds sitting/kneeling, 5 rounds standing at 100m.

Cost: All Rifle & Pistol for the weekend $50, includes range fees, targets, camping & sausage BBQ lunch

(includes can of soft drink) Sat. & Sun for the competitors only. Juniors half price.

Lunch for non-competitors & second helpings $2, drinks $2. Limited canteen facilities.

Dinner on Saturday night $15 is not included in the "range fees", please confirm by 19th April for

catering.

Saturday night dinner: spit roast pork/lamb/beef (whatever is available & depending on numbers), vegies & desert

If we do not get at least 25 for the Sat. night dinner, it will not be viable & those staying over night will have to bring

their own food - bbq(s) are available to cook on.

Accomodation: Camping at Complex Saturday night, Hot showers – Ablutions Block now “open for business”

Other Accommodation is available at nearby – Windamere Tourist Park ph:6358 8462. People to organise own

accommodation. If you do not intend to camp at the Complex, try www.visitmudgeeregion.com.au for other

accomodation options, as well as things to see & do in the area, for non-competitors.

Notes:

- Carry your State Firearms Licence at all times, No L i c e n ce , No Shoo t . Licence must be endorsed for Target

for any competition, if only endorsed for Hunting, can shoot for "practice" & sighting in and as there are no prizes

organised (yet), we all shoot for the fun.

- Limited P650's each day, see the Range Officer on the day to organise.

- NSW Firearms rules apply for the transport & storage of guns & ammo.

- 8mm rifle & 9mm/.38 pistol calibre limit on Range 2

- .45 calibre is allowed for SAS on Range 1 (you must have a High Calibre Premit)
