Shotgun shooting members of the Branch and Mudgee Sporting Clays realised the need to extend the potential of the Shooting Complex and united in a joint venture to develop SSAA 5 Stand Sporting Clays and a field shotgun range.

This new range has the potential to host both SSAA 5 Stand Sporting Clays and Field and Game shoots at local, regional, state and national levels. The new facility was opened August 1999.

The range hosted:
- SSAA 5 Stand Nationals - October 19 & 20 2002.
- SSAA 5 Stand NSW State Championships September 11 & 12 2004

5 Stand Team at Millmerran
